After reviewing the pros and cons of indoor and outdoor tanning, nearly 30 million Americans are turning to indoor tanning facilities to help maintain their tans in a controlled environment and minimize the risk of sunburn.
Tanning is a form of relaxation, but males and females tan for a number of reasons.
Most associate tanning with one to two things, skin cancer or great looks, but can one actually gain something from indoor tanning?
Tanning can be beneficial for a number of reasons.
According to tan advisor.com, sessions in a tanning bed are particularly helpful for individuals suffering from psoriasis, osteoporosis, seasonal depression, acne and many other things.
Whether tanning indoors, or by natural sunlight, tanning becomes unhealthy when the skin starts to burn.
According to an MSNBC study, indoor tanning was most popular in the Midwest, where sunny weather is limited
Kearney has at least 10 facilities that have tanning units
The debate isn’t about pros and cons. It is about being informed about what tanning can do for you, and how it could potentially benefit you.

change of heart
Due to a change of heart I decided to do my editorial on tanning - no no, it is not about how bad it is for you and how you should wear sunscreen at all times. It is about how tanning can patiently benefit you. I Have done some research to back up my views and opinion on this topic as well.
As of now I am just working on gathering my claims!

Alright, so I'm supposed to come up with a national or international issue to write an editorial on. I don't want to write about something I'm really educated about because I want to learn something, but I don't want to write about something I know nothing about so, some of the topics I've come up with are abortion, health care, or job cuts.
I'm leaning toward job cuts because right now a lot of people are are effected by it and there are a lot statistics on it.
Let me know your opinion

This is what I think
The article I choose to read was Stage Set for Stadium Prep Work. I found this article in the Omaha World Herald. The article is about preparing to tear up the Qwest Center parking lot in preparation to building the new stadium for the College World Series. Throughout the article it goes on to talk about how much money is being put into this project, how big it is going to be, contracts that were signed and most of all when they are going to start building.
I have lived in the Omaha area my entire life with that being said the College World Series is a very big event for not only people who live in the Omaha area but people from all over. I wouldn’t say I disagree with the move of the college world series especially because it’s not going very far from its birth spot it is just the fact that it is being moved that a lot of Omaha natives are uncomfortable with. I think it will be beneficial when it is complete, one might just wonder if there are better things the money could be going toward.

Hello World
Hello World! My Name is Jackelyn Chandler, but you can call me Jacki. I'm from Bellevue Nebraska and decided to start my college career off at Concordia University in Seward Nebraska. Concordia, or more or less Seward just wasn't the place for me which is why I'm now at UNK. I'm studying broadcasting in hopes to do either entertainment broadcasting or be a journalist for Seventeen Magazine. My dreams are high but I'm shooting for them.
I have never taped into the world of blogging but so far I like it a lot. I'm very open to new ideas and I love trying new things. I would describe myself as a very outgoing person that is easy to get along with, I hope. :)
Well, I don't want you to be too overwhelmed with information so .. until next time, remember : "There is nothing better then being yourself"
