Local Issues

How big of an issue is drugs on the UNK campus. Clearly its enough for UNK to be taking into consideration testing hair for drug use.
The stance I take on this issue is that it is irrelevant and un needed. It is expensive and can give false answers and an inaccurate time line.

Lowering the Drinking age in kearney? Aside from the fact that I'm unaware that you can do that by city I don't believe it would solve as many problems as you think it would. Although there are pros and cons to changing the drinking age as a whole I guess you'll never know unless you try.

Tray-less Tuesdays - My stand on this issue is a positive one, I believe this helps to save water, food and in a long shot could help against obesity. Not only do people need to be educated on what tray-less Tuesdays is but WHY we need to save water and HOW it will benefit us and the world.

Tray-less Tuesday During November and December, Chartwells will have trial period of “Tray-less Tuesday." "Tray-less" a movement to help decrease food waste, water waste, and the chemical footprint in dining halls. It has been so successful that some schools have gone completely tray-less. Please provide feedback. If feedback is positive, Chartwells will integrate “Tray-less Tuesday" into daily dining beginning January 2009.
